These new works done in Memphis seem to pick up where my 2005 Eyekons series left off, but with a distinct difference. The Eyekons faces are conte crayon drawings on water color paper that was glued to the canvas and worked into an acrylic construction (using modeling paste and an electric sander). These are acrylic paintings on canvas (palette knife and dry brush work). I'll add/update works as they develop. Click image for larger view:
