This festival began in 1957 with a group of artists showing their work in downtown store windows. As it matured over the years, the festival changed names and locations several times before finally settling in the historic Old Mill Park.
This year's event has 130 participants offering paintings, photography, woodworking, jewelry, clothing, ceremics, and more.
If you're not in the area, it's too late for this year. But the Mill Valley Arts Festival a yearly event in Marin County, California, a region of natural beauty with lots of hiking trails and other points of interest. Maybe next year:
